Real Wedding: Ocean House, R.I.

NECR recently had the great honor of being a part of creating a beautiful wedding at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

The gorgeous setting was highlighted by simple furnishings with a pastel color palette. The main focus was on the gorgeous beach scene.

The stunning table was set with simplicity flatware, rattan chargers and french countryside china. All of which helped to capture the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The evening came to a close under the stars, magically surrounded by the beautiful Ocean House and the Atlantic Ocean.

Real Wedding

Shelby and Zack planned the most beautiful wedding at Lange Farm in Dade City, Florida which they accurately described to be Natural Chic. The couple used Shelby’s stunning rose gold engagement ring as their inspiration for their special day.

To bring their natural yet chic theme to life they had their ceremony under a giant oak tree draped with flowing white fabric. The theme continued throughout the evening with DIY gold leaf place-cards and pears for wedding favors.

Their color scheme represented the fall season well with plums, burgundy, burnt orange and lots of gold accents.

The bridesmaid’s dresses in various colors to match the palate and bold colorful flowers made their color scheme pop throughout the wedding.

Hits of lace and flowing fabrics kept the event romantic and whimsical while all the gold accents made for a chic and slightly boho feel. We are obsessed with Shelby’s shoes and bouquet which bring the whole theme of the wedding together.

Simple table-scapes and the perfect naked cake draped in caramel kept the wedding feeling relaxed and natural on this beautiful autumn day.

As gorgeous as the couple’s sweetheart table is, the best part about it? Shelby and her dad made the table entirely by hand for the wedding! We can’t think of a better way to have some father daughter bonding before this big day in any father’s life.

We love everything about Zack and Shelby’s wedding. They perfectly captured the fall theme without going overboard and went for a unique theme that turned out as perfectly as they could have ever hoped for.

Real Weddings: Backyard Chic

While looking through the Wedding Wire the other day we came across this beautiful wedding held in a Massachusetts backyard.

When deciding where to hold your wedding, an often forgotten option (and a great way to save money!) is your backyard! Think of your family and friends and see if any of them would be willing to host your wedding in their backyard. Whether they have an oceanfront property or the cutest garden, you can make every aspect your own. It may take a bit more planning and creativity, but not to worry, we have lots of ideas to help!

Here’s how Cait and Bobby created a beautiful chic yet easy going wedding in their own backyard. They incorporated farm tables and vintage place settings as well as mix matched chairs and adorable signs. These homey touches create an intimate feel perfect for a smaller wedding. By adding in chandeliers, lace and gorgeous floral arrangements the couple creates a more elegant feel.

Having a backyard wedding allows you to make all creative decisions and create exactly the style you are going for, no pre decided decor, place settings or chairs. By opting for this type of location you get to pick and choose every element you want, from tables and chairs, to glasses and flatware.

If you are going for a similar look to Cait and Bobby’s wedding, here is your NECR guide to create this stunning look!Backyard Chic

Elegant and classic is the perfect way to describe this romantic Hopkins Vineyard Wedding in Warren, Connecticut. The decorations had a vintage and rustic look to them thanks to our signature pieces! Amy Champagne Events did a spectacular job tying in the two cultures of the couple with the bride, having Brazilian roots, and the groom, having American roots.

The pastel colors of the flowers made the classic decorations feel warm and inviting. All of the colors that were apparent in the flowers were subtle enough to compliment everything placed on the table, but beautiful enough to catch your eye. The flowers were perfect for the vintage and classic look of the wedding.

The use of our signature pieces helped to complete the rustic and vintage look at the reception. The tables that were used at the wedding were our classic Walnut Farm Tables and the Tavern Tables. Our white runners always add a classic touch to the tables along with our Battenberg White Napkins. Below is a picture of how some of NECR’s pieces looked at the wedding:

The NECR Lounge Couches  created a relaxing environment for the guests to unwind. A lantern surrounded by candles upon a trunk adds to the soothing environment. Trunks and coffee tables are stylish items to include at a lounge area!  They add to the classic vintage feel and look great with the colors used in the flowers in this wedding! Another NECR piece to consider using at a wedding with a specific look like this would be the Rustic Plank and Wine Barrels for the bar. This piece is perfect for any rustic, vintage wedding!

Picturesque Wellfleet Wedding

Picture this: A beautiful September day, a breathtaking view of the water, and of course our incredible products. From the location to the dance floor this wedding had it all. The wedding took place in the heart of Wellfleet at a rental home and as we can see from the photos, proved to be an ideal spot to wed.

Whites, browns and touches of pink all tie this scene together effortlessly. We love how the white garden chairs sit against the walnut farm tables. Whites and browns paired with one another are a great duo; the chairs, china and flowers all in white instantly grab your attention- Don’t you agree? And we can’t forget about our Barn Board Floor, it truly looks phenomenal. We absolutely love this item. If you want to see more images of this item for a closer look, make sure to check our site we have multiple photos of our custom floor!

Here is a clear shot of how the china, flatware, and glassware look together. For glassware we have the mixed drink glass; a simple look that serves its purpose! The choice of china for this wedding is fiesta accompanied with our forged flatware. The three items compliment one another wonderfully.

Take a look at that view! Simply breathtaking. And here is our Tavern Table, it can transform into just about anything. A table, bar, showcase- you name it! Above it is pictured as a bar along with the galvanized tub (a great choice to keep the drinks refreshingly cool)

We have to acknowledge what a great idea the tree stump cake stand is! (as well as how delicious those cupcakes look) We think if you add some wine barrels (perhaps our rustic plank and wine barrels bar?) to this scene you will get the perfect rustic look! The Wine Country section on our site is full of plenty of items that would really flow with this theme! If this rustic look has you feeling inspired for your next event make sure to check it out for some great ideas.

By the looks of it, September was a month full of gorgeous weddings and events. Congratulations to all the September brides and grooms! We can’t wait to see what October will bring. We have many ideas about particular items you could use for an October event so make sure you take a look at our Oktoberfest board on Pinterest. Also, stay tuned for the “What’s trending in October” blog that will be posted soon. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

A New Spin On A Common Concept: A Beautiful Spring Wedding

Blog photo 2

First let us say: congratulations to Jeremy and Josh on their beautiful wedding! The photos are truly breathtaking – we can only imagine how incredible it was to be there. The two were wed at the renowned Peabody Essex Museum and based on the photos we’ve seen, it looked like a night to remember. Now that we’ve established that their wedding was absolutely STUNNING, let’s talk about HOW they were able to create their perfect day.

blog photo 1

As you can see, the tables used are our infamous walnut tables. Everyone loves our walnut farm tables – and how could we blame them? – but you all love them SO much that they book out faster than we can say “walnut farm table!” We do our very best to meet the needs of our clients, but unfortunately there are times when we just can’t get them to everybody who requests them. The look of the walnut farm table as a banquet table is a look that people can’t get enough of, and often times they aren’t willing to settle for anything else.

But, there are some people with a vision. People who love the walnut table so much they would do almost anything to see it at their event. And Jeremy and Josh are those people. If you look closely, you’ll see that what looks at first glance like our 8′ walnut farm table, is actually two walnut square tables! With one runner across the top, who could tell the difference? It’s just another way in which YOU can have the look you’ve always dreamed of, regardless of how many others share the same dream…on the same day.

OR – better yet – what about choosing this option on purpose? By using our walnut square tables side by side, you are able to sit just as many people as you could at a banquet sized table, but each couple is just a little bit closer together, creating the perfect intimate affair.

NECR Ashley O'Dell Photography

Let’s pull back a little and look at the bigger picture (literally). Not only is the mix of square and round breathtaking, but look a little closer: the long table has just a runner, while all the round tables have full linens. This is an amazing way to mix it up and create a bold but soft look. We’re a little obsessed.

Our farm tables can be used in many other ways, too. How about as the center pieces for events? Or a gift table? Cake table? Place card table? Or what about mixing round and square tables for a really aesthetically pleasing mix?

Okay, okay…we digress. Back to the wedding at hand. These accent pieces were the perfect touch to our farm tables. The square vases on the nautical runner with our farm tables creates the most exquisite mix of modern, classic and natural. Mixing the nautical linens and natural table top items makes for a delicate nautical presentation! (The use of tulips though – seriously perfection.)

NECR Ashley O'dell

Let this amazing wedding serve as a reminder of the endless options you have.  At NECR we are all about innovation and creativity (which would explain why we are obsessed with these photos.) Get creative  – think outside the box – and make your event one that everyone can’t stop talking about! We’re gonna go ahead and keep ogling over these gorgeous photos – and honestly, we think you should, too. 🙂

Kendall and Jeff

We are OBSESSED with this wedding. We recently received these amazing pictures of the nuptials from Kate McElwee Photography and cannot get over how gorgeous everything turned out. The wedding was held in Osterville, Cape Cod at the Wianno Golf Club. Despite dark skies, Kendall and Jeff’s event went on without a hitch! We cannot thank everyone enough for such a wonderful day. Congratulations to the new couple!

Perfect for a Cape wedding!

Norwell Wedding

Rain can be a bride’s worst nightmare, but not for Abby Donahue! Her June 2nd wedding went on despite the torrential down pores that occurred throughout the day. Thanks to the outstanding job of Sperry Tents, Abby’s backyard wedding was unbelievably gorgeous. New England Country Rentals provided our popular walnut farm tables, benches and driftwood arbor for the nuptials.  The lighting and construction of about 4 or 5 tents is something we couldn’t help but share with you all. A special thanks to Lisa Rigby Photography for providing amazing images of the event. We wish the happy couple an amazing life together! To read more check out the article on Style Me Pretty.
